Giancarlo Mulinelli

Vice President of Sales - Mexico

Giancarlo Mulinelli of Puerto Rican descent began his studies at Sauk Valley College in Dixon, Illinois and obtained his degree in Business Administration from the University of Sacred Heart in Santurce, Puerto Rico in 2000.

One year later, he began his professional career at Continental Airlines as an International Flight Crew Attendant based out of Houston, from where he was transferred two years later to his native land to serve as an Airport Sales Agent at the San Juan Airport. His common-sense customerservice philosophy led him to work in the Presidents Club, where he served the carrier's leading customers in the Caribbean region. Giancarlo later joined the Sales Department, where he was responsible for signing on new Corporate Accounts for the Reward One Program, among other responsibilities.

While at Continental Airlines, he received the 2005 Chairman’s Award, an honor given to the carrier’s top 20 Sales Executives worldwide. That same year, he was promoted to serve as City Ticket Office Manager responsible for Direct Sales in Latin America, where he managed 57 sales offices throughout the region. The carrier subsequently promoted Giancarlo to serve as General Manager in Guatemala between 2006 and 2007.

Giancarlo joined Aeromexico in late 2008 as the Regional Sales Director for the West Coast of the United States, based in Los Angeles, California. His leadership and performance in this market transformed Aeromexico into the carrier of choice for customers in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver, Sacramento, Fresno and Phoenix. Giancarlo became the recipient of the Aeromexico award honoring the Top Sales Executives of Aeromexico in 2011. After representing Aeromexico in the prestigious Los Angeles Business Travel Association, in 2012, he was appointed to serve on the board of the Association for the period 2013-2014.

In 2014, Giancarlo was promoted to Vice President of Sales for Aeromexico in Mexico. He responsible for a 110 member sales organization in Mexico and a revenue portfolio of over 1 billion dollars in corporate, government and travel agency sales, while developing and implementing sales distribution strategies to position AEROMEXICO as the preferred airline partner.
