Director Merchandising – Delta Air Lines
Kristi Martinez is the Director of Merchandising at Delta Air Lines, with responsibility for driving demand for high margin products, including branded fares, ancillaries, and gift cards.She has supported major initiatives, including Five Product Display, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ as a fare product, and the continued expansion of Basic Economy throughout the world.She also manages a growing Delta Gift Card portfolio, overseeing tripling the footprint with retail expansion and more robust B2B and B2C programs.
Prior to her role her role in Merchandising, Kristi was General Manager of Field Operations in Reservation Sales. In this role, she managed the Business Process Outsourcing relationships and executed performance plans that drove significant improvements in efficiency and customer satisfaction.She also led large divisional initiatives focused on cost control, improving performance consistency, and establishing accountability.Kristi was also a Manager of Strategy and Analytics where she managed the divisional goal setting process, drove consistent data collection, streamlined reporting processes, and improved reporting methodology
Kristi came to Delta eight years ago through Delta’s MBA Commercial Leadership
Development program.During her rotations, she had roles in network domestic planning and schedule optimization.As a planner, she was responsible for creating and analyzing capacity reports and developing and implementing market-specific strategies.On the optimization side, she was a key contributor to developing an off-peak schedule for LGA Phase I and II expansions.
Kristi is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Masters in Business
Administration.She is an avid sports fan and was a member of the Division I women’s soccer team at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.A native of Cincinnati, Kristi currently resides in Senoia with her husband Eddie and seven year old daughter Juliana.
